Insert Sizing for Snap Frames

Nominal snap frame sizing is based on the Size of the insert that goes in the frame.  So for example a 24"x36" snap frame takes a backer, printed insert and Lens cover that are 24"x36" and the visible area that is dry erase is 23" by 35".  On this size the outside dimensions would be 25.2" x 37.2"  and if fitting in a tight spot the outer edge needs about 3/4" from the wall or cabinet to allow it to open.

That being said if you need need a board  to fit between 2 cabinets at 36" apart we can tell you that a 32.0" Nominal sized board will show 31.0" dry erase area with OD of  34.5" 
 

All the boards can be had with magnetic inserts but ones in red are the best for steel inserts

Note Fitting between two cabinets
      This requires the outside dimension to be about 3/4" less than space so snaps can open on the 1" frame.
      So for example a nominal 24" frame would be 25.2" wide and need 26" between cabinets and
      have a visible dimension of 23".
