Alliance P3 White Board Maintenance and Cleaning
Daily
Care and Maintenance
The
same procedure is used to clean both chalkboards and markerboards.
-
For
the initial cleaning, wipe your board with a clean cloth moistened by a
liquid cleanser.
-
Rinse
with clear water. This step is
simple but very important.
-
Wipe
dry with a clean cloth.
-
If
your board is used daily, the cleaning should be performed at least 2 to 3
times a week. More thorough
cleaning may be required if writing is left on the board for more than 2
days.
-
Expo
Liquid White Board Cleaner by Sanford does a fine job.
Removing
Crayon and Tape
The
same procedure is used to remove both crayon and tape.
-
Dampen
a clean, dry cloth with water.
-
Sprinkle
a small amount of powdered cleanser, such as Bar Keeper's Friend, onto the
cloth. Use less cleanser for
chalkboard surfaces. We
recommend using Bar Keeper's Friend, but if you are unable to locate this
product please call our Dealer Direct Center at (918) 759-2301.
-
Begin
cleaning a small, manageable area using a back and forth horizontal motion.
Use normal pressure as if you were cleaning a window.
-
Wipe
off all residue with a dry cloth.
-
Rinse
well with clear water. Please
note that the rinsing and drying steps are very important.
-
Wipe
dry with a clean cloth.
-
Follow
the same procedure for the remainder of the board.
Removing Permanent Marker

Use less alcohol for chalkboards.
-

the board in a circular motion to loosen marker residue.
-

-
Dry
the board with a clean cloth.

Repeat
these steps as often as necessary to remove all residue.

erase marker and erase immediately- repeat s few times
Surface
Scratch Test
You
may perform this simple scratch test to see if your board is made of Alliance
Ceramicsteel:
-
Using
a sharp object such as a key, scratch a small, hidden area of your board.
-
If
your board did not scratch, congratulations, you have an Alliance product. A
painted surface board is easily damaged, but an Alliance Ceramicsteel board
resists scratching. If a
scratch does appear you may want to contact your local ceramic-steel board
dealer.
Alliance Ceramicsteel boards are warranted to last a lifetime…
