A quality dry erase surface is impervious to ink and will allow removal of
even Sharpie type ink after months and months of being left on board.
Below we have some test results of Sharpies being put on various surfaces
and how well they can be removed. This test while not a
test directly of dry erase ability does show what misuse will due and we
think is a good predictor of longevity when non dry erase markers are
used.
A surface could last thru its warrantee
time and work perfectly with dry erase only markers and no use of improper
cleaners
Grooving seems to be a slight softening or
removal of surface that we think will degrade dry erase ability and may be
equal to use of disinfectants and harmful cleaners.
We use a standard Expo bold black marker as the solvent!
A+ removes fine with no shadow or bad
effects
B black gone but physical grove left
F clearly visible strong shadow left board
ruined F clear stain |
